2006-07 Kansas Accessible Sports Events OU WC B-ball tournament Date: Sat./Sun. Oct. 28th-29^th Where: OU Campus Teams: OU, OSU, OKC-MAPVA, FT. Smith, Tulsa, Little Rock, San Antonio $200 ENTRY FEE FOR 4 GAMES. NEED TO MAKE THIS DECISION BE OCT. 5^TH. Results: Won – 1. Lost – 3. We beat OKC-MAPVA and lost to OU, San Antonio , OSU. We played well against some very talented teams. We will do better next year. Tiger/Wheelhawk Scrimmage Date: Dec. 16^th Where: MU Campus, Columbia, MO Teams: Kansas Wheelhawks and MU Tigers, 2 games. Results: Lost – 2. We had Ray, Jim, Aaron, Caleb, Drew and myself playing this tournament. KANSAS ACCESSIBLE SPORTS INVITATIONAL DATE: JAN 13^TH-14^TH WHERE: LAWRENCE, KS TEAMS: OU, MU, WHEELHAWKS, MADONNA MAGIC (LINCOLN, NE), StL RAMS. Results: 3 teams canceled because of weather. Wheelhawks and Madonna Magic played 4 games for fun. JANUARY JUBILEE Wheelchair Basketball, Hockey, Handcycling, Annual Meeting & Pizza Party! DATE: Saturday, January 20th, 2007 - 9 am-1:30 pm WHERE: Wichita State University, Heskett Center Check out their web info on events Wheelchair Sports, Inc. Events Results: Ray, Heather and Jarvis attended the event from the Wheelhawks. Many adults and youth were taught about WC basketball and we learned about WC cycling and hockey. WINTER INVITATIONAL DATE: FEB 1^ST AND 2^ND WHERE: LINCOLN, NE TEAMS: MIDWEST CONF Results: We played well with only 5 players. 2 of our 3 losses were decided by less than 5 pts. We had a chance to be 3-1 for the weekend, but fell short. WHEELCHAIR TENNIS CLINIC DATE: FEB. 10^TH OR 11^TH WHERE: FIRST SERVE, LAWRENCE, KS (APPROX WAKARUSA AND 23^RD) www.firstserveku.com TEAMS: ANY INDIVIDUAL INTERESTED Results: Mike Bottary and I attended the clinic. LOUIS RAMS. 10 games total with each team getting 5 games Trophies to Champion and Runner-up Results: TOOK SECOND OVER ALL. RECEIVED ‘RUNNER-UP’ TROPHY. RECORD OF 2-1 ON SATURDAY AND 1-1 ON SUNDAY (DEFEATED BY STL ON BOTH DAYS).
